The Michigan Emergency Management Association (MEMA) is accepting vendors and sponsorships the 2026 MEMA Conference! This year’s conference will take place at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire, Michigan, from October 12-14.

The 2026 MEMA Conference Planning Committee is currently taking proposals for presentations for this years conference.

Why should you present at MEMA? Presenting at the 2026 MEMA Conference offers you the opportunity to:

We are currently accepting proposals for:

Breakout Sessions (approximately 30 minutes)
General Session Presentations (up to 90 minutes)

If you have valuable insights, innovative strategies, lessons learned, or best practices to share, we encourage you to submit a proposal.

2026 Mike Kasper Memorial Scholarship

The Michigan Emergency Management Association is proud to the return of the Mike Kasper Memorial Scholarship for the 2026 MEMA Conference.

This scholarship aims to carry forward Mike’s commitment to learning and connection by providing full registration to the 2026 MEMA Conference for an individual who may otherwise face financial barriers to attending.

About the Scholarship
The Mike Kasper Memorial Scholarship will support one student in the emergency management field that is a MEMA Member (Active, Student, or Associate) annually, by covering the full cost of the MEMA Conference registration and a room.

How to Apply
Open to Current MEMA Members

Applicants are asked to submit:

Proof of being enrolled in a collegiate program during the 2025-26 academic calendar
A brief statement (300–500 words) describing:
- Their interest in attending the MEMA Conference
- How participation would support their professional or personal growth
