Erin Yingst

Erin provides pre and post federal grant administration services through her consulting firm, Aurora Communications, LLC. She serves as Grants Manager for Parents for Peace, a nonprofit seeking to provide interventions to prevent radicalization, violence, and extremism. She also serves as a Grants Consultant for RBW Strategy, a Washington, D.C.-based firm that provides performance enhancements and capacity-building strategies for nonprofits through proposal writing, grants lifecycle support, and project management.

Previously, Erin served in a public health preparedness planning role for Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services, and as a public information officer for both the local public health and emergency management programs there. She also served as Executive Coordinator for the Region 5 Homeland Security Planning Board.

Erin holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations/Journalism from Western Michigan University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Central Michigan University. She also earned the designation Professional Emergency Manager from the State of Michigan. She previously served the MEMA Board in the positions of 5th District Liaison and Secretary.
