Paul R. Geyer
Paul is the Emergency Management Coordinator for Delta County in Michigan’s beautiful South Central Upper Peninsula. He has been the Coordinator since August of 2019 and also served as the Coordinator for Schoolcraft County from 2019 until 2022.
Paul began his public safety career in 1993 in the State of Michigan and retired in 2017 from the City of Gladstone, Michigan where he served as Director of Gladstone Public Safety since 2006. He has been involved in instructing Fire Service courses for over 20 years and also served as an emergency medical technician early in his career.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He has been a certified Michigan Professional Emergency Manager (PEM) since October of 2022.
Paul and his wife of 32 years, Michele, live in Gladstone, Michigan, have three adult children, Kelcey (Colorado), Jordan (North Carolina), Kahler (Green Bay), and a miniature Goldendoodle named Finley.
Paul enjoys spending time with family and friends in various activities from motorcycling, camping, DIY projects, and plain old relaxing.
