Michael Kamenec
Mike is an Emergency Management Specialist with Oakland County’s Emergency Management Division. He has been in this role since 2018. He specializes in critical infrastructure protection, hazard mitigation, public communications, and oversees the division’s web platforms. He has also worked on division finances, FEMA grant management, outdoor warning siren system, GIS, and social media. Mike has responded to EOC activations that include COVID-19, Oxford High School Shooting, and the Rochester Hills Splash Pad Shooting.
Previously, Mike worked in the Environmental, Health, and Safety field within the automotive industry. He is a State of Michigan P.E.M. He also holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, certificate in Critical Infrastructure from TEEX, and is a graduate of the NPS Center for Homeland Defense and Security’s Emergence Program
